Originally from Bedford I've lived in the John Pyel Ward for 20 years now, since marrying my Irthingborough born husband. I'm very interested in education and have been a school governor here and in Rushden for seven years. As a family we've always been involved in the local community in some way, my husband spent many Saturday afternoons supporting Rushden and Diamonds and my son has attended our local schools and clubs. I believe having opportunities for our children and young people to find an interest that will focus and inspire them can have real benefits for their future. Having previously owned a business on the High Street I'm committed to supporting our local traders in creating a town environment that draws local people of all ages to it and helping to make it the hub of our community.
